  • The character had to be deeply tied to their core product – rice, the main ingredient of Mekong Premium pasta – while also representing the gentle, honest farmers of the region.
  • Most importantly, this brand ambassador needed to transcend human limitations, becoming a long-lasting, immutable, and exclusive symbol for Mekong Premium.

1. Brainstorming the Image

We began with dynamic brainstorming sessions, sketching out:

  • A Western Vietnamese farmer standing amidst golden rice fields, holding a bundle of rice with a radiant smile.
  • In the background, farmers busily harvesting rice, with a red harvester machine as a focal point, symbolizing abundance and joy after a bountiful harvest.

This image not only evoked a sense of peace but also affirmed the exceptional quality of Mekong Premium’s products.

The goal of Interactive Creatives in this project was to craft images that were not only visually stunning but also highly interactive, evoking emotions and telling authentic, heartwarming stories.

While hiring professional actors was a viable option, the day’s packed schedule with numerous settings required careful consideration, especially to maintain the enthusiasm and connection of young actors with the crew. After extensive deliberation, I-Creatives chose to collaborate with the family of young actor Kai-Khai Anh. The resulting photographs turned out beautifully, showcasing the successful application of the Interactive approach to experiential photography.

The Story of Kai’s Family

I was captivated from the start by the adorable photos of Kai-Khai Anh. His father, a composed and elegant man, radiated profound love for his wife and child. His mother, on the other hand, was a dynamic and cheerful woman who effortlessly created joyful moments for Kai. This harmonious blend formed a warm, colorful family picture, perfectly aligning with the experiential photography concept.

The genuine affection among the family members was an irreplaceable factor that brought out positive messages in the images.

At first, Kai appeared a little wary of the I-Creatives team, but he quickly warmed up, expressing himself naturally in front of the camera. This allowed the photographer to capture the most authentic moments effortlessly. The rest of the work fell to his parents and the team, who used the Interactive method to match Kai’s rhythm, resulting in warm and genuine frames.
