Mekong Premium approached us with a clear but challenging request:

  • They wanted an image that symbolized the prosperity and fertility of the Mekong Delta, where golden rice fields stretch endlessly.
  • The character had to be deeply tied to their core product – rice, the main ingredient of Mekong Premium pasta – while also representing the gentle, honest farmers of the region.
  • Most importantly, this brand ambassador needed to transcend human limitations, becoming a long-lasting, immutable, and exclusive symbol for Mekong Premium.

 

 

The Creative Process: An Imagined Symbol that Touches Hearts

1. Brainstorming the Image

We began with dynamic brainstorming sessions, sketching out:

  • A Western Vietnamese farmer standing amidst golden rice fields, holding a bundle of rice with a radiant smile.
  • In the background, farmers busily harvesting rice, with a red harvester machine as a focal point, symbolizing abundance and joy after a bountiful harvest.

This image not only evoked a sense of peace but also affirmed the exceptional quality of Mekong Premium’s products.

 

 

2. From Hand Sketches to Digital Art

Initial sketches were quickly transformed into digital art to suit branding applications. We paid meticulous attention to detail:

  • Bright eyes and a kind face, with wrinkles that tell a story of time and experience, creating a figure that feels both familiar and lively.
  • The bundle of rice in his hands, rendered with high detail, symbolizing a commitment to product quality.

3. Combining Realism with Imagination
